My Brothers, advisors, and friends,

This past year has been an amazing experience for me as your International Congress Secretary. My term
in this position has just ended, and it is a bittersweet feeling. I am so thankful that I have been able to
work with my Brothers from many jurisdictions to improve DeMolay on the International level while
also being able to remain very active in my home state. From traveling abroad and to every corner of our
own great country, I always find myself back here, at home, in Colorado. Like I said in my outgoing
State Master Councilor speech, “There’s no place like home.” This year has shown me the true meaning
of that statement. Even when I had been traveling weeks at a time and was so tired, I was always excited
when the plane landed at DIA, and I knew I was home. The Brotherhood, enthusiasm, advisors, and
programs we have here in Colorado are something special and we should all be very proud to be a part of
it!

This year could not have happened without the ongoing support I’ve received from all of you...My
advisors, my brothers, all of Colorado DeMolay, and our entire Masonic family, I thank you! You all
have remained a central part of my life, and it’s always awesome to return home, and honestly feel
welcomed and supported.

Throughout this year, when I was home, I had the opportunity to visit all of our Chapters at least once,
and I was able to attend many of them multiple times. I was also fortunate enough to take part in many
of our events, Installations, and Inductions! I was able to meet all of the new young future leaders of our
organization, and I was able to work closely with my home chapter. Working with you was always
something I looked forward to because it is something I have done for the last seven years, and it is
something I have always cherished.

I can truthfully say that Colorado DeMolay is in a great place and I am so excited to see us explode with
membership, great programs, and brotherhood in the coming years! With the work you all have done
coupled with the enthusiasm and excitement of our new members and the promise and dedication they
have shown, we will see great things in the future and we will truly see Colorado GROW!

While my travel as International Congress Secretary has now come to an end, I still have a few years left
as an active DeMolay, and I continue to look forward to traveling to other jurisdictions, but more
importantly, I look forward always to have a place I can call home with my brothers of Colorado
DeMolay. I am so excited to work and help the young men achieve their personal, chapter, membership,
and jurisdictional goals! I know this will be another great year for Colorado DeMolay!

Finally, I want to congratulate JD, Seaghan, and Jake on the work we have already seen from them and
on their new positions. We have some incredible State Line Officers in Colorado right now, and I know
they will continue to work hard for the betterment of Colorado DeMolay! Let’s show them our support,
let’s work hard, and have some fun!

Thanks so much again for all you’ve done and continue to do for Colorado DeMolay! There is no place
like home!
