A few final thoughts...

Gentlemen,
Over the last 4 years I have had the honor of serving on the Colorado DeMolay
State Line. And, it has been a most excellent adventure! I have had the oppor-
tunity to plan conventions, dances, laser tag, fund-raising events and a myriad
of other adventures for the fine young men of Colorado DeMolay. I have also
had the privilege to represent all of you at many Masonic events this past year.
Now as my time as a state officer comes to a close, I am filled with gratitude and
pride. It is you fine young men who have made my journey one to remember. It
has been an honor to serve as your SMC this last year and work with you to
push Colorado DeMolay to new heights.
While it has been an honor to be SMC, the far greater honor was simply to be a
DeMolay. For the last 8 years I have grown from a shy little boy to a young man
ready to face the challenges and experiences of the adult world. A sincere
“thank you” to all the advisors and my DeMolay brothers who encouraged me
along the way and kicked me in the pants when I needed it. While the 2015
Convention will be my last event as an active DeMolay, I will forever be a part of
this organization because DeMolay is the best youth organization in the world.
