Achieved

2-1-5 The Program implements a clear and approved teaching, learning and evaluation strategy

that articulates its educational philosophy and ensures that the Program's intended learning
            outcomes are achieved.

             Teaching and learning strategies:

It means the strategies used by the faculty member to develop students’ education. It is a set of
general rules and outlines that concern achieving the desired goals of teaching. It also refers to

the methods used by the faculty member to achieve learning objectives and then it includes two

components: method and the procedures that together form a plan for teaching a topic or a unit

according to reference (Annex S2-1-5-1 Guide to Teaching, Learning and Evaluation Strategies at

Al Baha University). There are several criteria for selecting an appropriate teaching and learning
strategy that achieves learning outcomes, including the strategic suitability of learning outcomes

and their suitability to the academic content, as well as their suitability to the level of learners

and taking into account the possibilities available in the educational institution such as
classrooms, learning resources, tools and devices. The faculty member also is obligated to follow

the course specifications approved by the department council (Annex S2-1-1-1 Program

Specification C5: Teaching and learning strategies to achieve PLOs).

             Assessment Methods:
Describe assessment methods (Direct and Indirect) that can be used to measure achievement of

program learning outcomes in every domain of learning. The assessment relies on a combination

of direct and indirect measurements to produce and corroborate evidence (Annex S2-1-4-2

             Report of PLOs).
The instructional methods vary to include student centered strategies, active learning methods

and experiential learning strategies to enhance higher cognitive skills and decision making

abilities. Effective acquisition of higher cognitive thinking decision making requires a combination

of experience and skills. These skills enhanced and encourage by using different teaching and
learning strategies (Annex S2-1-5-1 Guide to Teaching, Learning and Evaluation Strategies at Al

Baha University) and (Annex S2-1-1-1 Program Specification C6: Assessment Methods for PLOs).
