2-2-1 The curriculum design considers fulfilling the program goals and learning outcomes and

            the educational, scientific, technical and professional developments in the field of specialization;

            and is periodically reviewed.*
The general framework of study plans was taken into account when designing the mechanical

engineering program, as the general framework of study plans serves as the organizer of study

plans within the university, upon which all colleges rely in preparing their updated plans (Annex
S2-2-1-1 A Guide to Building Study Plans). The general framework of study plans defines study

             programs by several elements, including:

               - Determine the department’s vision, mission and goals

               - Conditions for admission to the department

               - Determine graduation requirements
               - Career opportunities for graduates

               - The department’s connection to the college’s goals

               - Course descriptions
The alignment between the goals of the MENG program and the mission of the MENG program is

shown in Table S2.1.1.4 and consistency between the PLOs and the program goals is shown in

             Table S2.1.1.5.

The current curriculum had been approved in 2021 by the minutes of the quality committee

meeting in the mechanical engineering department no. (2) for the academic year1442/1443 H,
Monday, 13/02/1443H, corresponding to 20/09/2021G (Annex S2-2-1-2 Minutes of the Quality

Committee meeting in the Mechanical Engineering Department No.2).

The mechanical engineering staff has worked seriously on the department’s development plan to
achieve the department’s goals. The plan’s objectives and priorities for this year are working to

follow up and improve the previous year’s plan by working to improve the following points:

                 1. Enhancing the students’ academic level

                 2. Improving the education level in the department that goes with market needs

                 3. Improving the scientific research in the department.
                 4. Enhancing the department environment.

                 5. Teaching in a master's degree program in renewable energy in cooperation with the

                    electrical engineering department
