Present Perfect Continuous is used to talk about an action that started
in the recent past and is still continuing in the present. It is often used with
‘for’, ‘since’, and ‘how long’.
I have been writing this letter for 3 hours and haven't finished it yet.
He works in this company. He has already been working in this
company for 10 years.
It has been raining since early morning.
How long has it been raining?
You have been learning English since childhood.
How long have you been learning English?
He has been playing chess since he was five.
