Complex Object is used after the verbs of perception: 'hear', 'see',
'watch', 'notice', ‘feel’. It is formed with an object + infinitive without to
when we talk about a whole of an action, or an object + ing form when we
talk about an action in progress.
I heard someone singing.
He saw his friend walking along the road.
They noticed something burning.
I watched the birds flying away.
We saw him come into the room.
He felt someone touch his hand.
