Students First Mini-Grants

The Beckley Area Foundation awarded 72 local educators mini-grants up to $500 each. With

$18,848.96 from BAF’s unrestricted funds and $15,000 from the Carter Family Foundation, a

total of $33,848.96 was distributed for 93 innovative projects to be completed during the
     2019-2020 school year.

In the last 23 years, over $300,000 has been distributed to local educators. A committee
comprised of educators and community volunteers carefully review the applications to

determine which projects demonstrate the most innovative and educational merit.
