Executive Summary

A. Objectives

The objectives of this venture are to operate a private logistics center that
will be a “customs house,” a container terminal, grain storage and
container loading facility, a cold storage warehouse for meat storage and
container loading for export, general cargo storage and distribution
facilities and will also provide ancillary services. The facility is located on
the navigable Paraguay River.

This venture will provide a needed service for the country’s growing
trade. Both imports and exports have been growing continuously in the
last decade. Due to the nature of agricultural and beef exports as well as
the imports needed to support those industries, both exports and imports
will continue their growth into the foreseeable future. It is important to
state that this undertaking is not a green field project; the main
infrastructure is in place and is situated in a strategic geographical
location. This operation is a platform for expansion into other related
businesses, such as a container repair center, a tug-boat and barge
service center and a port facility operation.
