Old-bush, dry-farmed vineyards
that predate the memories
of those who tend them now
produce exciting, balanced feld
blends of Carignan, Cabernet
Sauvignon and Malbec.

Newer plantations include Merlot,
Cabernet Franc and Carménère,
with its complex favors flled
with notes of dark skinned fruits,
hazelnut and mocha, along with
its distinctly spicy taste.

Improved viticulture and techni-
cal advancements in winemaking
have earned Chile a reputation
for reasonably priced, premium
wines.

The Cauquenes region is recog-
nized for the natural geographical
and climactic advantages that
allow it to produce distinctive
wines.
