There’s nothing like watching a film with a fresh bucket of popcorn, but the covid-19
pandemic stole that entertainment from us. A director of a larger movie chain admits
there have been some major setbacks, but he remains optimistic for the future of the
movie industry. The COVID-19 pandemic has had a considerable impact on the industry in
2020, mirroring its impacts across all arts sectors. Across the planet and to varied degrees,
cinemas and moving picture theaters are closed, festivals are off or deferred, and film
releases are captive to future dates or delayed indefinitely. In early March 2020, it had
been expected that the worldwide box workplace might lose US$5 billion as a results of
the pandemic.
We can only see the one side of the
film industry, but it’s not a one side
story. There are huge teams that
works on behind the camera like
lightning, editing, other supporting
also cinema hall owners. By this
pandemic case they lost most of
jobs. All scheduled upcoming movies
are rescheduled that because of
pandemic spread to the most of
crowd areas in the world. Also
ongoing recordings are cancelled most of the films because of Covid positive cases of the
making teams. (Ex–Jurassic World 3 Dominion). When looking at the alias film industry it’s
a huge part of the global film industry. (Ex- Bollywood). However online movie streaming
platforms taken this covid-19 pandemic as the opportunity to promote their platforms and
streaming packages (Ex – Netflix, Disney, and Amazon). Actually, online streaming
platforms are helping to the people to stay in the home and enjoying their favorite shows
but as my opinion it will reduce our entertainment experience about watching film on
theater.
