How will my treatment be covered if I contract the COVID-19 virus?
COVID-19 has been classi ed as a Prescribed Minimum Bene ts (PMB) condition by the Council of Medical Schemes.
COVID-19 PCR tests are paid from risk, whether the result is positive or negative, provided that the member who took the test:
Showed symptoms for COVID-19
Was in contact with an individual with the virus; and
Was referred by a healthcare practitioner (doctor or nurse).
Free consultations are offered by Discovery with Vodacom and Bonitas.
Download either the Discovery app or the Bonitas App.
For Non-medical scheme members – visit https://www.vodacom.co.za/vodacom/coronavirus -
click on access my risk – which will take you to the Discovery website. Insert your ID number and register. Do the online test and it will direct you from there.
For the Bonitas app – download the app and register as a non-Bonitas member. Your online assessment will direct you to a virtual call.
