Message from the Chairman
17th EUROPEAN VINTAGE
Ploughing Championships, Rep. of Ireland
Tuesday 23rd September 2014
On behalf of the VPAI I would like to extend a very warm
welcome to our European Competitors, Stewards, Judges,
Spectators, and above all to the friends we have a built a
terrific companionship with while travelling throughout
Europe to the European Vintage Ploughing competitions.
We are deeply indebted to the NPA for allowing us to be
part of the 2014 national event on this magnificent site in
Ratheniska, Stradbally, Co. Laois.
This year the European Vintage Ploughing Championships is
a one day competition, but we guarantee everyone attending
the event a very full three days of entertainment and
attractions which will keep you busy from dawn until dusk.
I would like to thank my fellow officers and members of the
NPA for all their hard work and co-operation in preparing
this spectacular event and also the ploughmen and women of
Europe for delighting us with their presence here.
Last but not least I would like to sincerely thank our great
sponsors who gave so generously to fund this event.
