Hello, and welcome to the Active
Retirement Ireland Members’ Annual. This
publication is designed to be a resource for your
Active Retirement Association for the coming year.
It has hints and tips on how to get the best out
of your Active Retirement Experience, as well as
recipes, articles, the best travel ideas for you and
your group and much, much more.
Last year saw this Annual’s debut, and the feedback
from you, the members, was incredible. Thanks to
you, this is a project that will continue and will
grow from strength to strength.
2015 has been a very challenging year for everyone
in the country, despite constant references to
recovery. While the Government gave every
working person an extra week’s wages in the
Budget, older people were fobbed off with less
than two-thirds that amount and are still bearing
the brunt of austerity. Active Retirement Ireland
remains committed to finding the best deals and
discounts for our members. We owe a debt of
thanks to our publishers, Guerin Media, and all
the businesses that supported this publication,
