Mobile phones are a useful communication tool
for us all, both as a way of staying in touch day
to day and as an emergency tool for the most
vulnerable. Getting an elderly person to agree
to use a mobile can be di cult, especially if
they’ve never owned one and think them too
complex to work. They might also nd it di cult
to use a standard mobile due to reduced dexterity.
This doesn’t have to be the case.
The Oysta Pearl+ mobile is speci cally designed
for the safety and security of older and vulnerable
people. It is small in size and lightweight. The
device has an inbuilt emergency button as well as a
motion sensor. Both these features ensure direct
contact to your chosen emergency contact or
monitoring centre should a di cult or threatening
situation arise. As it has an inbuilt GPS locator,
the location will be known, the responder can
deal with the situation e ciently and e ectively.
For people with dementia there is always the possibility of a wandering
incident. The Vega GPS Bracelet, comes with features such as indoor/
