Understanding and Recognizing Serious
Injury or Fatality (SIF) on our Projects
Gray has developed a Serious Injury or Fatality (SIF) program for our
projects. What is SIF? Any incident where a SIF could occur to a
jobsite team member. We have recognized ten SIF-related areas that
we need to put a critical eye on during the planning of our projects
to our jobsite walks. Throughout this SIF series, we will take a look
into these areas: discuss best practices/Gray policies related to
each topic, proper planning, and lessons learned to help strengthen
not only our SIF focus but our safety program. Our #1 core value is
“We put the safety and quality of life first,” and it is our job to ensure
everyone on our job sites returns at the end of the day to their loved
ones uninjured.
