High-level industry roundtable on sustainable fashion

This year, Fashion Summit (HK) 2023 will feature a half-day high level industry roundtable in
Stockholm, Sweden.

The invite-only industry roundtable will bring together leaders in sustainable and circular
fashion services and businesses for a high-level discussion on: “The positioning of Asia-Pacific in
Fashion Sustainability”

Roundtable at Stockholm, Sweden:

With a range of internationally successful companies, Australian textile and apparel businesses
are familiar with the challenges of operating in a global industry valued at US$3 trillion. The
Australian textile and apparel industry plays a substantial role across the economy through

design, education, fibre production, services, research and technology. The industry is
continually diversifying and as a result Australia is considered an innovator of smart textiles,
high quality fibres, leading design education and unique fabric development.

Circular Fashion is a growing focus for the Australia fashion industry. In 2018, the first Australian

Circular Fashion Conference took place and in 2019, the conference moved to Melbourne where
it was attended by a greater number of industry than in the previous year. Given the increasing
number of fashion consumers demanding transparency and environmental accountability from

brands, it has never been more important for fashion labels to adopt sustainable business
practices that will see them meet the needs of the market and set themselves up for success
well into the future.

This roundtable and three-day program will be the catalyst to ongoing discussion and

collaboration between Hong Kong and Victoria.
