Lesson 2
Teacher Instructions
SEL Standard: 1A.1a- Recognize and accurately label emotions and how they are linked to be-
havior.
Teacher: At this point, link personality to feelings and choices and identify the dierences be-
tween making good and poor choices. Discuss the consequences of both types of choices.
Teacher: Explain what a graphic organizer is and how students will use it. Have the students
complete Lesson 2.
Teacher: Choose several students to reenact their personal experiences, emotions, reactions, and
consequences.
Teacher: Discuss with the students how their inappropriate reactions resulted in unfavorable
consequences. Discuss how the students’ reactions aected everyone involved in the event.
Vocabulary:
1. Emotions- a strong feeling such as joy, anger, sadness, or fear.
2. Reaction- a response to something that has happened or has been done.
3. Consequences- the results of your actions.
