A short history digression.  My son and I had followed in the steps of others.   One is a real surprise.
               Excluding our Aboriginal people, there are records that Ludwick Leichhardt, a German naturalist and
               explorer of Northern Australia, camped and travelled along Jim Jim Creek in late 1845.

                The great George Chaloupka, a Northern Territory expert in Aboriginal rock art,  also talks of
               Leichhardt’s travels by horseback.

               According to Leichhardt’s diary the party were exhausted but he and his party would have also seen
               these parts of Jim Jim creek.
