What is SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19)?

It is a new strain of Coronavirus that had not been previously found in humans. It affects the respiratory

tract and most people experience mild symptoms, although for older people and those with underlying
medical conditions (such as high blood pressure, heart problems or diabetes), it can be severe and even fatal.
