                                       In 2018, nearly 1,600 high
school and college-age staff
were employed by our YMCA.
These young people develop skills through training and experiences that foster their leadership development and build their character.
DEVELOPING FUTURE LEADERS
Developing future leaders has always been a pillar of our Y’s work.
Among YMCAs across the country, we rank number one in our commitment and service to youth. Through our Y, more than 72,000 young lives are cultivating the values, skills and relationships that support their development into active and productive members of the community.
YMCA youth programs are designed with a holistic approach focused on experiences that emphasize character and skill development, self-reliance and resilience.
