Leaving a legacy of impact with
a gift in Will
Dr Margot Harris was a much loved and well-respected clinical practitioner admired for her competence and patient care.
After working in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane, Margot joined Northern Haematology and Oncology in its infancy with rooms in Hornsby. She was a Visiting Medical Officer for
the Sydney Adventist Hospital and Hornsby Hospital, and her practice included a chemotherapy unit.
While working at the San, her demands that her patients receive the best possible treatment were well known

As well as being an outstanding clinician, Margot had a passion for horse riding, golf and skiing. She was also an excellent artist. She and her partner David spent many happy years at their property in Gresford and later at The Vintage in the Hunter Valley.
Sadly, Margot passed away in August 2022 after a long battle with cancer. Her wonderfully generous gift in Will directed funds toward two of Margot’s great interests – Education and Cancer Services.
Margot, thank you for having a ‘Heart of Gold’.
Honouring our ‘Hearts of Gold’ whose legacy we received during FY24.
