A MESSAGE FROM OUR COLLABORATING PARTNERS
The Dante Alighieri Society of South Australia is proud to support the Progetto Donna Awards, celebrating the remarkable achievements of women from Italian-South Australian backgrounds.
This is an enormous step that recognises the many women who contribute to our community. It also honours those who work behind the scenes and often struggle to be acknowledged, showing how powerful recognition can be in making women’s efforts visible and valued.
The awards send a strong message of solidarity towards women, making it clear: “We need respect, we want respect, and we deserve respect.”
Congratulations to all the nominees and winners. You are all outstanding examples to our South Australian community.
Edmondo Palombo, President Dante Alighieri Society of South Australia
Empowering women means unlocking potential, amplifying voices, and breaking barriers. It’s about creating spaces where women lead, innovate, and thrive without limits.
From boardrooms to classrooms, from homes to parliaments, women shape the world with resilience, wisdom, and grace.
Empowerment is not a gift—it’s a right. It begins with education, equality, and opportunity. It grows through mentorship, representation, and solidarity.
I’m honoured to be part of this initiative as President of the Sicilia Social & Sports Club—and its first woman president for the past 18 years—celebrating every woman’s strength, story, and spirit as we build a fearless future.
Rita Palumbo, President Sicilia Social & Sports Club
