A MESSAGE FROM THE AMBASSADOR
Progetto Donna is one of the most important and meaningful projects undertaken by the Com.It.Es. of South Australia, with the support of the Consulate of Italy in Adelaide and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.
During my tenure as Ambassador of Italy in Australia I have always sought to support these projects along with other awareness-raising initiatives against gender-based violence, an issue that, unfortunately, remains a serious concern in our societies.
Valuing the role and contribution of women in the Italian community, and promoting gender equality and equal opportunities, are matters of fundamental importance. I believe that celebrating women who have distinguished themselves in various fields through their work also holds an educational and inspirational value for the younger generations.
Congratulations to Com.It.Es SA and to all the women and men in our community who are dedicated to this extraordinary project
