Progetto Donna Awards – 2025
“It was an honour to serve as members of the judging panel for the 2025 Progetto Donna Awards.
We were deeply impressed by the number of nominees and the calibre of all of them. Their achievements filled us with pride, highlighting the nature, scope, and quality of the contributions these women make. The process also gave us the opportunity to
learn about the outstanding work of women whose efforts were previously unknown to many of us.
Given the Italian community’s long history of migration to South Australia, now spanning generations, we were humbled by the many nominations recognising women who have dedicated decades of service to the community. We also note with admiration the broader impact Italian women have had on South Australian society, contributing to diverse areas well beyond the Italian community itself.
It is fair to say that every woman nominated was truly deserving of recognition. This made our task as judges both rewarding and challenging. We encourage nominators to consider re-nominating their nominees in the future, as their contributions continue to deserve celebration.”
