Shrey - very skillful wrist spin bowler with a bag full of tricks. He was also a talented opening batsman at the start of the season, lost his way in the middle and got back to his best at the end.
Our manager Maruthi was consistent with his updates, and he delegated very well with getting all the parents to help with scoring. He tried to umpire every game and he was even sent off once.
Overall, we had an amazing first season as a team that played together and hope we can stay together as a team for a few more seasons ahead.

The 2023/24 cricket season was a successful year for the U13 Green team with great improvement seen across all aspects of the game. The team welcomed Asher, Henry and Sami who were awesome additions and fitted in well.
We pushed for a finals spot but fell one win short, which was a great effort given the standard of the competition. As with previous seasons, each member played their part in the team and contributed with either bat, ball or in the field.
Some quick stats and highlights for the boys were:
Dean – great season with the bat and won the Batting Award. Dean scored over 200 runs including a top score of 45 runs.
Josh – massive year with ball which resulted in him winning the Bowling Award. Josh took 13 wickets at a very low average of 7.5 runs.
Asher – won the Team Award with an excellent all-round effort. Also took the catch of the year too!
Zac – another strong all-round effort with bat and ball however his run out against Castle Hills RSL in the wet was a standout.
Ani – showed great improvement in his batting this season and scored some valuable runs. Corey – 12 wickets for the season was a super effort with best figures of 3-1.
Ethan – ran like a greyhound between wickets and took some important catches in the field. Flynn – took some valuable wickets and appealed with plenty of enthusiasm!
Havish – showed improvement in his batting and bowling over the season. Lewis – never seen a kid more motivated by a kebab.... great all-round effort!
Sami – another wonderful all-round effort, which included almost 200 runs and excellent keeping behind the stumps.
Henry – played some games early in the season and took some important wickets.
Big thank you to Jo and Tim for managing the team so well...and also thank you to the awesome parents in the team.....everyone pitched in each week and that made the season run really well.
