all adults involved in supporting our team of little champions. Thank you to Chintan for being an excellent co coach/manager for me this season.
Zayd Etri - Had an excellent all round season. Works very hard on his game and continues to perform strongly well after week for the team. HS 31 NO. Best bowling 2-1 off 2 overs
Sachin Narayanan - Top run scorer for the team who regularly scored his runs at a good rate. His bowling and fielding was excellent. HS 36 NO. Best bowling 2/1 off 3 overs in Semi Final
Heet Patel - Captained the team beautifully and wicket kept, batted, bowled and fielded so well. Had a wonderful season, deserves a lot of credit. HS 78 not out. Best bowling 2/6 off 3 overs in Semi. Took 6 catches including 2 one handed gems.
Vihaan Virami - Proved to be extremely hard to get out, batted very consistently. Bowling and fielding were also commendable. His batting average of 210 is an outstanding effort. HS 60 NO. Best bowling 2/0 off 2 overs. Was out only once all season, which was run out, so ended up averaging 220 with the bat!
Vihaan Patel - Was very strong for us all season, fantastic innings in the final to get us back in the game after a slow start. Took two excellent catches in the Semi final, including a screamer. HS with the bat was 20 NO, got two scores of 20. Best bowling was 2/9 off 3.
Adrian D’Amore - Opportunities were limited in 2023 due to breaking his hand just before the season started but recovered to be performing well at the business end of the season. Helped bowl us into the GF with a great spell of 2-6 off 3 overs bowling first change in the Semi Final. HS with the bat was 9.
Charlie Winwood-Smith - Grew as a player enormously as the season progressed. Finished extremely well with a fantastic innings in the GF that almost got us over the line. Excellent bowling average of 9.88. Best bowling performance was 2-7 off 1 in the GF. HS with the bat was 10 NO in the GF. Certainly proved to be a big game performer.
Yash Shukla - Worked very hard in his game and finished the season bowling very well indeed. Has good potential with the bat. Yash’s HS this season was 12, he got this score opening the batting against the eventual premiers in the first half of the season, batting at John Purchase. Yash’s best bowling was 1-1 off 2 overs.
Diyen Kaggoda - Diyen’s batting was very solid for us, made two scores in the 20s, including his HS of 26. His best bowling was 2/5 off 3 overs. When at his best, his bowling is excellent, just needs to find at little bit more consistency and watch how good he can be.
Vedant Arkadi - Vedant, he had some good performances with the bat, including a powerful performance where he notched up 14 runs against Hornsby Green after we lost a few quick wickets. Got into the teens another two times as well. Best bowling was 1-0 off 2 overs
Shlok Sutar - It was great to have Shlok with me again this season. His batting improved as the season progressed, his bowling was very solid with 8 wickets at an excellent average of just over 10. Best bowling 2-8. HS with the bat was 10 NO
Samkit Shah - Was excellent with both bat and ball. Very powerful batsman who improved his defense has the season progressed. Bowling was quite impressive with an outstanding strike rate and average. HS was 62 and Best bowling 2-2 off 2 overs.
Thank you so much to the club for their wonderful support and encouragement throughout the year, I am so grateful to be allowed the opportunity to coach for WPHC, what a fantastic club and bunch of kids and people to work with.
