Kids enjoyed each other’s company both on and off the in the matches, training, and even social catchups. Most importantly they played the game of cricket with spirit and respect for everyone.
Though our season started with couple of losses, but afterwards, kids pulled up their socks and put in a lot of effort in training. As a result, Yellow team had a great run of achieving 7 straight wins and surprising everyone to quality for the semifinal.
There was marked improvement in the skill level from everyone in the team, which lead to some great wins and some individual brilliance. No surprise that Yellow team had the highest run getter and wicket taker for the club for this season.
This road to semi’s was always not rosy and Yellow team had their own up’s and downs with players getting injured or not able to get minimum of 8 on the field for most of the matches due to some other clashes. Everyone on the team had huge learning including the coach who was finding his own style of coaching and all the little caveats of rules, regulations, and strategies.
Even though their journey ended in Semi’s but this season was a milestone and not the destination. These kids will go long way in their career.
Rohan Reddy – Fantastic all-rounder, highest run getter for the entire club in this season. Led the team from the front and setting example for others.
Vansh Jain – He was the menace for opposition. He finished the season with 23 wickets which is highest for entire association in U12 age category. Threating pace with swing and accuracy.
Nivaan Pashiney – Very accomplished players, very talented with great technique and work ethics. Mr dependable for the team in every aspect of the game. He played superbly throughout the season. Great team man
Aarav Mishra – Very valuable player, great compact technique in batting and bowled wicket to wicket. Always stood for the team whenever the team needed him. Great energy to have in the field.
Eshaan Maram – He was the go-to man when it came to batting or wicket keeping in difficult conditions. He was always up to the challenge and came out with flying colours. Very selfless and always played for the team.
Aryan Kulkarni – Aryan came out of the shadows in this season. As the season progressed, Aryan’s self-belief and confidence grew with each game. This was evident from his body language and his bowling. He consistently picked up wickets and always had very contagious smile.
Siddharth Nikam – Tall, lanky leg spinner. He knew what he was doing. He had great control on the ball and gave it a lot of air to bamboozle the batters. Great game sense and always had great contributions to the team.
Roy Mahajan – A very explosive batter and energetic in the field. He always set the bar very high for himself. His passion for the game was visible on his sleeve. Great energy to have on your side.
Augadh Shukla – Augadh discovered his love for the game but at the same time he was also the one who had to learn the most. He did this with great courage and discipline. Game on game, he showed improvement and took responsibility. He was given team player award for ‘Most Improved’ player where all the parents voted for all the kids.
Veer Tangri – It will not be exaggerated to say that Veer is a special talent. At just 8 he already looks like a player who is years ahead of his peers. His solid technique, sheer passion and game sense won him the accolades not from his own teammates but opposition players and coaches.
Rohan Nikam – Pocket dynamite. At tender age of 8, he had impeccable control on his bowling and cool head on his shoulder. Solid technique with urgency to score runs makes him a great asset for the
