Thomas has once again displayed his improving skills and maturity with the ball. The improvement in his bowling has been a standout once again this season, delivering some fast and accurate balls that stay incredibly low! Keep it up Hoppo!
Carter Jollow
Carter continues to “punch above his weight” for our team. A highlight this season has been Carter’s improvement with his batting and behind the stumps as keeper. His commitment in the field is a pleasure to watch!
Thomas Loats
Thomas has matured as a cricketer this season. Every aspect of Tom’s game has improved and his commitment to becoming a better player has really stood out. I’ve mentioned before that Tom has the makings of a top all-rounder and he continues to prove me right each season.
Jay Lotty
Another new addition to the Green Team this season, Jay has brought some outstanding all-round skills to the team. Jay’s consistently accurate bowling and solid batting has made him an asset to the team.
Ewan Osborn
Ewan is another player who has continued to improve his game each season and this season has been no exception. He has gained more confidence with his batting and with the ball, Ewan has proven his worth as a bowler with some awesome wickets. And rarely does a ball get past him in the field!
Andrew Rapp
As the end of the season drew near, Andrew finally returned to form with the bat and displayed once again that he is a true all-rounder! Only 2 wickets off taking the bowling award this year, Andrew’ bowling was excellent, so too was his keeping and fielding.
William Tegg
William’s maturity and commitment to all facets of the game of cricket went a long way to winning him the Coach’s award this season. William always displays a calm and determined demeanour on the field, and he continues to improve is skills, particularly with the bat.
Neelan Thirunavukkarasu
Neelan is a passionate cricketer and natural all-rounder who’s steely determination with the ball has made him a formidable pace bowler and wicket taker. This season was no exception and saw him take out the bowler’s award. Neelan also displayed his great batting skills and arguably the best throwing arm in the team.
Yellow
Give the popularity and reputation of WPHCCC, we had record number of players registered in all age group and particularly in U12 age group. This presented an opportunity to form a brand-new team, of which 8 out of 11 players who were playing first time for club. To top it all, this was first time for Kapil Shukla to coach any juniors team.
The average age of the team was 10 years where 2 of the 8 years old were playing in U12 age group.
All the odds were stacked against yellow team. However, there were few things which bonded these kids as unit. It was their enthusiasm, passion and most importantly love for the game of cricket.
