Rayyan – developed into a tear away opening swing bowler. Often combining to take back-to-back wickets. Chased down everything in the field.
Shay – handy swing bowler and steady contributor with the bat. Kept the innings going regularly building partnerships.
Siddarth – welcomed to the team as the quiet achiever. Strong contributions with the bat in the opening position and challenged for the bowling award.
Thank you to Under 13 White for playing with spirit, for the parents who supported and Lyndal who managed us superbly.

U14 Purple
It’s fair to say this was a successful year for the u14 Purple team having topped the table after the completion of the rounds and going on to win the Premiers Grand Final.
The team had a fresh look and feel this year with the loss of a few players to school teams or other sports. However, we were pleased to welcome four new players to u14 Purple in Will, Blake, Aiman and Hashaam.
Everyone played a role over the year in delivering some great cricket and contributions with bat, ball or fielding. That said, the perennial anguish for the supporters (and the coach, manager) caused by some dodgy running between wickets was there to be seen again at various stages but thankfully did not cause too much damage.
One of the many highlights was the observed improvements that the boys brought into the season and how they continued to develop their skills in various areas throughout.
Rishabh – came to the crease at tough times and showed skill and grit keeping innings going. He took some great catches in the field again this year.
Aadi, a leftie David Gower’esque style (look him up boys), scored well up and down the order. Came into the season having much improved his bowling and maintained this all season.
Vraj – a deceptive short run up but with lightning pace at the end. A core part of our very strong bowling unit again this year. Some important knocks with the bat also.
Will – despite new to the team and game, he played a key all-rounder role. Keeping wicket, 2 nd on our bowling chart with 13 wickets and his power hitting was phenomenal (including four sixes that had scorers running for cover during one match).
Thomas – more solid defense and reached his goal of two fifties. Good bowling figures (10) despite answering a team call to change to much needed spin this year. Took his co-captain role seriously and retains the Vanish Napisan fielding award (for ending with the dirtiest whites every match).
Harnish – an ever-ready opener and another strong all-rounder with great bowling performances and stats including an average of 64 with the bat. His bowling in the grand final was immaculate, fast and clinical when we needed it most.
Marcus – had a good consistent season with the ball this year returning some good figures (7) and a couple of important innings near the season end in tight games to help keep Purple top of the ladder.
