Caroline’s Journey in Raising Breast Cancer Awareness
Caroline, an Executive Assistant to the CEO at the San, has recently been diagnosed with invasive carcinoma after a regular breast screen test in December 2023. Despite the devastating news, Caroline feels confident
in the care and expertise of her clinicians. She has a supportive network
of family, friends, and colleagues, as well as options for treatment.
However, Caroline knows that not everyone is as fortunate as she is, which is why she is using her voice to encourage donations for breast cancer research.
Caroline is asking the community to consider donating to the DENETTE Study, which is investigating possible alternatives to surgery for those who may be too frail or unable to have it. The study is being led by A/Prof Nicholas Ngui and is a

vital step towards finding new treatments for breast cancer patients. Caroline hopes that any surplus funds raised will go towards expanding the main research database for breast cancer.
To raise awareness for this important cause, Caroline
has decided to dye her hair pink. She hopes that her story will encourage more people to donate to support breast cancer research. Caroline's colleagues and friends are also showing their support
by donating to the cause and sharing her story on social media. Caroline's courage and determination to make a difference in the fight against breast cancer have inspired many in the community.
