P. 5
Girls:
o After losing our Stage 3 Teams from last season (age related) we registered 60 Girls across 6 Teams in Stage 1 and Stage 2. Importantly, we had 2 Teams in the Association run Stage 1 competition which is an important 1st step in building a sustainable multi-stage Girls HK&HDCA competition
o Congratulations especially to our Stage 2 Lanning side who made the Grand Final
Seniors:
o Finished with 255 registrations across 15 Senior Teams
o The main highlight, among many, was from our A1side that won its first Rofe Shield in 10 years. They also won the 1st Grade T20 Competition and lost in a ‘Super Over’ in the CNSW Community Cup against the eventual Grand Finalist.
o Winning 3 Premierships (A1, B1 and C4) and 2 Runners-up (C2 & D1)
Off-field
• The Academy offered a new Pre-season option along with the ‘In-season’ program with 160 participants attending the free Skills session
• Our redeveloped website was launched in January 2025 and has been a great success. Our Director Operations will cover this in more detail
• Our new playing uniforms were introduced and the feedback has been very good. Congratulations to Craig Hutchinson who ran this initiative
• Thanks also to Ramil De Silva who has developed a Club Dashboard sourcing data from PlayHQ and this will form the basis on our next stage Strategy
• Schools Clinics were again successful under the leadership, of Connor Hindmarch, our Head Coach:
o Over 1,500 children were involved. It was especially pleasing to have re-engage with John Purchase Public School where we ran a Clinic for Year 3
o Cherrybrook Public School also invited us to run a curriculum-based initiative for their middle school
• The ‘Junior Mind Enhancement’ program was fully subscribed within hours of opening and will be ramped-up next season
• Our ramped-up Social Media focus has been successful with our Facebook page now breaking 1,000 ‘likes’
• At Association level:
o I stepped down as President to take on a VP role to focus on building the strength of the A Grade(s) competition
