areas, some of his bowling would be hard to manage by kids much older. His first season of cricket started off very quiet & by the end he had gelled extremely well with all his teammates.
Nav – his excitement for training, games, and showing up for his fellow team mates showed how much he enjoyed playing cricket this year. Being one of the younger team members and contributing weekly in games shone through, even picking up 4 wickets with the ball. His willingness to learn new things shows he has a great interest in cricket and a long future in the sport.
Some great performances from every individual throughout the season. The spirit shown from each player to gel with one another, to learn new skills, to improve, and most importantly to have fun, was a pleasure to spectate and be a part of over the 2024-25 cricket season.
As with all junior sport, the season would not be possible without the help & assistance of all parents. From scoring to assisting at training, brooming the pitch before match day, half time fruit, drinks & even a weekly coffee roster (all whilst still managing/looking after other siblings) is very much appreciated & valued. A big thank you to Simon W for managing the team this year and organising team lists/roster on a weekly basis.
Red
As the U8 Red season comes to a close, we celebrate a year of
development, teamwork and excitement on the field. From the first
training session, it was evident that our young cricketers demonstrated
remarkable dedication and sportsmanship for the game. All players
made significant progress in their batting, bowling and fielding
abilities, and they all played with determination, come rain or shine!
Our matches were great fun, wonderful fast paced bowling from River and Ahem and some excellent wickets taken by Asher and Krish. Arian and Vivaan worked hard in the field and showed incredible improvements in the accuracy of their bowling. The children learnt excellent teamwork whilst batting in pairs, and Michael and Josh earnt many sneaky runs from their fantastic batting. Great job boys!
Thank you, Daniel, for being a patient and fantastic coach and starting the boys on their cricket journey. A big thank you to Nicole for helping to manage the team and to all the parents and supporters who attended matches, cheered for the team, and volunteered during practices. Your encouragement plays a vital role in the children’s development and enjoyment of each game.
See you next season everyone!
