Designing a Print to AR campaign strategy is no different (or no less important) to developing a marketing strategy for any other channel or medium. Whilst this guide does not delve into the specifics of developing a Print to AR campaign it does include key points that need to be considered when constructing a strategy.
1. What is the goal of the campaign? What are you trying to achieve?
2. Is there a clear path to the goal?
3. How do you get the customer to want to “be a part of the journey”?
4. What is in it for the customer?
5. Has the benefit been made clear and concise?
6. Is the journey streamlined and engaging?
7. How well does this campaign integrate with, and compliment, your other marketing?
Tip: One key area where Print to AR campaigns “fall down” is in the primary call to action in the print that entices the customer to want to start the AR journey. When designing a Print to AR campaign it is extremely important to include a prominent “Why & How”. Why the customer should take the journey (what’s in it for them) and how they can take it.
Tip: Augmented reality works best when it is seamlessly integrated with other marketing channels, acting as the conduit between traditional and digital media.
