Australian Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander ancestry had a similar proportion (6%) with this income level compared to all Australian Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander ancestry (5%), which is at least 50% less than the proportions of people with this income in the all SA group (9%) and the Italian ancestry group (11%).
There were also a greater proportion of Italian Australian Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander that this question was not applicable for (38%), compared to all Australian Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander ancestry (33%), and Italian ancestry (17%) and all South Australians (17%). This indicates that there are a greater proportion of younger people aged under 15 years of age that identify with Italian and Australian Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander ancestry than any of the other 3 categories analysed.
Remoteness Areas
The proportion of people with Italian Australian Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander ancestry that live in major cities (76%) of Australia in SA are similar to all SA people (75%) which is less than all people with Italian ancestry (90%) and more than those with Australian Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander ancestry (56%). The proportion of other remoteness areas for Italian Australian Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander people similarly follows the proportions of all South Australians.
