The age profile of people in SA with Italian and Australian Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander ancestry follows a similar trend to that of all persons in SA with Australian Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander ancestry, where a greater percentage of the number of people in the relevant cultural group is represented by the youngest age group (0-9 years) (26% and 22% of all people within the relevant cultural group), followed by the next youngest age group (10-19 years), then each subsequent age group thereafter in chronological order. This is markedly different to all people in SA with Italian ancestry where the highest proportion of people in this cultural group are in the 50-59 year old age group (15%), followed by 20-29 year olds (14%), then 30-39 year olds (13%). This pattern on the other hand resembles that of all South Australians which has 13% in each of these three age groups.
Furthermore, there are 0 people aged 70 years and above in SA with both Italian and Australian Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander ancestry, i.e. not one person that was born prior to 1952 has both Italian and Australian Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander ancestry in SA. On the other hand, 5.4% of people aged 70 years and above have Italian ancestry and 0.5% have Australian Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander ancestry but 0% have both.
