C. Would + like
When we go to restaurant, the waiter usually asks this sentence:
• Would you like to order? : Apakah anda ingin memesan?
• What would you like to order? : Apa yang ingin anda pesan?
• Would you like a salad? : Apakah anda ingin salad?
When we want to order/buy something, we say:
• I would like a salad and orange juice.
• I’d like some carrots and potatoes.
• We use ‘would like’ to say politely what we want, especially when making offers and
requests.
