CHAPTER VI. THIS IS DELICIOUS
A. Countable and Uncountable Nouns
Before counting, please determine whether the object is countable or uncountable noun.
1. Countable Nouns
Countable nouns have singular and plural form. In plural, these Nouns can be used with
numbers. They can be counted.
Example:
1 grape, 2 grapes, 3 grapes
1 bottle, 2 bottles, 3 bottles.
For countable nouns, you ask with how many.
Example:
I have three pineapples. What about you, how man pineapples do you have?
I have three guavas.
2. Uncountable Nouns
Uncountable nouns can only be used in singular form. These nouns cannot be used with
numbers. They can’t be counted
Example:
1000 money = much money
For uncountable nouns, you ask with how much.
Example: I have five thousand rupiahs. What about you, how much money do you have?
I have two thousand rupiahs.
Here’s the different Countable and Uncountable :

Can be Singular and Plural Only Singular
Example :A rings, two rings, three rings Butter not butters
Can Use Singular or Plural Verbs Always Use Singular Verb
Example : The ring is new Example : Sugar is sweet
The rings are new
