Anyone aware of even one captivating detail about the life of our
Exceptional Harley Fetterman would be eager to learn much more
about the amazing life of Harley, true legend, yet also an energetic,
humble, ambitious, empathetic young adult in today's fast paced
environment. Even an awareness of just a partial segment of his
unique personality easily becomes indelible in your thoughts. When
you discover even more endearing, intimate details about his
adventurous, action-hero lifestyle, they morph into a permanent
legend etched within your heart. Within his own blindness and cancer
constraints, he successfully realized fulfillment of his devoted
advocacy for fellow blind kids and kids diagnosed with cancer. He
will continue to become an automatic role model for anyone who
learns his life story. Even through his own blindness, Harley still had
             immense vision.
The author's commitment to create this biography was inspired by
her own experience of personally meeting Harley for just a few
minutes in 2006. One warm, sunny morning, she attended church
services with her son's family, including her grandson, Blake, born
three months prematurely with multiple defects including blindness.
The author's new sensitivity to her grandson's lengthy fourteen-month
hospital experience caused her to become intimately aware of the
enormity of unrelenting stresses within the special needs community
and the ultimate joy when normal life experiences might eventually
             happen—often on a limited level.
