                               A Loss of Normal Lifestyle




               Ophthalmologist, Dr. Marsha Onan, intensely, quietly, peered into
             Harley's eyes for a long time before lowering her retinoscope. She
             turned slowly, looked directly at Beth and Kevin, then simply, quietly
             stated, “Well, he doesn't need glasses—but there's something there
             that looks white when it should look pink.”

               So began the first heart-rending diagnosis initiating Harley's tragic,
             survival struggle which he would impressively, defiantly battle with
             inspiring courage. Within the course of this struggle, Harley would
             create his own unforgettable, motivating, passionate legend.
               The next week, Harley had his first MRI—right after his fifth
             birthday—and it revealed a tumor on his optic nerve. Harley was
             diagnosed with optic glioma. Harley's parents felt “lucky” when they
