 Air, water, soil, sediment and food in the vicinity of chemical plants should be sampled and tested for the full range
of chemicals (or their by-products) being manufactured, used or stored. Laboratory services should be identified

for this task.

 Priority areas may need to be selected from the CRA and targeted. It may be helpful to carry out a complete

environmental assessment, to predict the levels of environmental contamination from a variety of likely release
scenarios.
