downs and logs as these will hold fish. Marina docks will
without a doubt hold fish! Most fish will move out in the
summer months. This does not always mean deeper, but
they have backed out. Look for them on the largest main
lake points, humps, and offshore structure. What you are
looking for is an edge created by the transition between the
clearer water and the deeper water. This dark edge is where
the fish will typically be positioned. It varies from lake to
lake. In short, it is the location where light can no longer
penetrate down to the bottom. Fish will use this edge just
like the shoreline. To fish this, fish it parallel just like you
would if you were paralleling the bank. The baits you can
use include top water, crankbaits, swimbaits, and even a
weightless stick bait. It is not uncommon for these fish to
be suspended along the edge and they have no problem Lowland reservoirs, typically have a much larger dam
going up to hit your bait. because they are flatter in their makeup. As such, they also
tend to be much shallower with a lot more rolling offshore
