When did you learn
to fish?
Probably around 4 or 5 years
old are some of my earliest
memories. My grandparents
lived in Ingleside , Texas on the
bay and we fished reds off the
banks, piers and out of their
john boat. But its saltwater so
you catch the most interesting
creatures. I caught a Hammer

head shark when I was about
9. It was exciting!
What is the biggest bass A 7 pound bass on my first cast in Lake Fork. We
you’ve ever caught? pulled up in between a couple of boats
Which anglers First , my grandparents. My grandfather was so patient and my grandmother was so
do you admire? encouraging. It didn’t matter where my cast landed , she always said “That’s a great
spot!” We fished everything! So I am proud to be the recipient of her old heavy rod
and reel. Second, my husband from Springfield, Mo. and taught me to bass fish. He
can fish a jig like nobody’s business and doesn’t give up on the water. Third, my son.
He’s a natural He won first place big bass and 3rd place stringer at the the Texas
State Jr. Bass Masters Classic in 2009.
What is your favorite fishery? I love them all! But if I have to narrow it down, Lake Amistad in
Texas - beautiful scenery and big beautiful bass! Now that I live in
Missouri, its Table Rock- beautiful scenery and lots of coves.
What is your favorite technique? It depends on conditions but my all time go to is a Texas
Rigged weedless weighted Christmas Tree Senko worm.
What is your least favorite technique? Fishing a jig. I’m still trying to master this technique.
What would you recommend There’s no better hobby, friends or environment than fishing. From
to someone thinking about the excitement of tournament fishing to the calmness of a hot cup
fishing the tour or getting into of coffee with the sun coming up on the lake on a cool morning
fishing? casting with a loved one...you just feel closer to God. With fishing,
its ALL GOOD! It doesn’t matter about the age of the boat or the
fisherman, or the size and number of the fish. What matters is just
being in the moment with nature...its priceless.
What is your goal or what My goal for 2022 is to sign up to fish all the LBAA tournaments
are your goals for 2022? as a semi-pro in 2023. I was interrupted the past couple of years
but see no obstacles now. I am also in the market for an upgrade
to a newer bass boat
