                             Acceptor : acceptance process

Acid : substance that produces hydrogen ions (H+) when dissolved in water

Strong Acid : acidic compound that readily releases H+ ions in water and

                             undergoes complete dissociation in solution

Weak Acid : acidic compound that only partially ionizes into its ions in solution

Conjugate Acid : base that has accepted 1 H+ ion

Base : substance that produces hydroxide ions (OH-) when dissolved in water

Strong Base : basic compound that readily releases OH- ions in water and

                             undergoes complete dissociation in solution

Weak Base : basic compound that only partially ionizes into its ions in solution

Conjugate Base : acid that has released 1 H+ ion

Degree of Ionization : fraction of a substance that undergoes ionization

Acidity level : A solution of acid or base that has a different level of acidity or
