As the President and CEO of Quest for Education
and Arts, I have the pleasure of introducing our Year End
Summary, a comprehensive portrait of the things we
have accomplished in 2017 and our objectives for the
new year.
Our mission to promote freedom of choice in
education, modeled after the freedom to choose Christ
as Savior, was a cornerstone of our work this year. Under
the visionary guidance of our new team of directors, we
are excelling at providing a diverse array of educational
opportunities and establishing relationships with other
Christian organizations. We are still committed to our
vision; unique, individualized education that meets the
needs of every student. Quest continues to be
recognized in the community as a respected name in alternative schooling options.
In 2017, we celebrated our 11 anniversary as an organization. We continued our

relationship with our financial backers and pastoral families which ensured our ability to inspire
and support young talent. Our efforts have not been futile; Quest students have started
companies immediately after graduation, gone on to major in particle physics, international
relations, elementary education, nursing, entrepreneurship, chemistry, music, medicine, film,
engineering, ministry, and more. Those who have invested their time in spiritual and academic
mentorship deserve our eternal thanks.
Quest seeks to light a spark in every child, to galvanize a love of learning, to inspire them
to change the world. We believe our students, whether homeschooled, educated online, or
traditionally in a classroom are the next generation of leaders. We train our youth to stand firm
in their faith and to have an unshakable foundation that can withstand the challenges of life.
We have worked diligently to bring in new families and to reach those who need to hear
the gospel and see it in action. Our outreach program is growing, and we are including more and
more Christian families with diverse styles of schooling. Our alliance with 4Tucson and contacts
in Christian schools have provided valuable connections with families who could benefit from our
services. After-school programs such as Odyssey of the Mind, music, dance, and drama lessons
are attracting students from traditional schools, as well as from our base in home education. It
is our prayer that these children decide to commit their lives to Christ and walk with His guidance,
influenced by those they encountered at Quest. It has been a privilege to see the dedication of a
life to Christ, as has happened many times at Quest this year.
I would personally like to thank our new board of directors, advisory council, departmental
directors, prayer team, and volunteers that work to keep this organization a pillar of education in
Tucson. I pray for God’s blessing on each of them in the new year, and give Him the thanks for
endowing us with such a gifted group of people, all with the focus of sharing His Word with others.
