Visitors
1) Visitors to the campus will be required to sign in and out at the front desk in the
office and will be given a visitor’s badge to wear while they are on campus. This
badge is to be returned upon sign out.
2) Visitors (including educational presenters) will be monitored by staff, employees,
and/or lead volunteers during their time on campus. They are not permitted to be left
alone with children, youth, or vulnerable adults unless the visitor is the child, youth,
or vulnerable adult’s parent, legal guardian, or approved family member (as noted on
the student’s information form).
Security
1) No staff member, employee, volunteer or parent/guardian should be alone with a minor
unless it is his or her own child (e.g. to confront a student, to take disciplinary action, to
speak privately with, etc.). If said situation is unavoidable due to emergency or other
unavoidable conditions, this person should seek out another staff member, employee, or
volunteer, to assist with the situation.
2) Students are not permitted to leave campus without parent or legal guardian permission.
3) All student outings will be chaperoned by the appropriate number of approved
chaperones. Each student on the outing must have a permission slip signed by their
parent or legal guardian.
4) No person is allowed on campus unless they are an enrolled student, parent or legal
guardian of enrolled student, approved family member, educational presenter,
staff member, employee, volunteer, or approved visitor.
5) All staff members, employees, and lead volunteers over the age of 18 must have a
cleared background check on file.
6) The campus is to be monitored by vetted staff members, employees, and volunteers.
7) No volunteer or other who has not done a background check will be left alone with
students. They will be monitored by staff, employees, and/or lead volunteers.
