The town even erected a statue of the Headless Horseman in the town square. The statue, made of bronze, stood a whopping fourteen feet high and had a steel ladder propped up against it. From Taiwan to Abu Dhabi, people came to the wrong town to have their pictures snapped on top of the horse, riding with the horseman who lost his head.
