What is the Market

“The Market” is what investors refer to U.S. Stock Exchange.

These are the 3 Main Stock Indexes

1) S&P 500 - “Standard & Poor’s” 500, large publicly traded companies in the

U.S. (Largely represents the Stock Market)

2) Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJI) - 30 of the largest publicly traded U.S.

companies and one of the oldest market indexes (1986)
3) Nasdaq - Roughly 3000 companies and heavily influenced with technology

stocks
