Here’s how that works

Right now 1000 people want to buy a weight set but only 500 are selling. Greater

demand results in a price spikes

Now if 1000 people are selling and 500 want to buy it creates a price drop as sellers

lower their price in order to sell

This is what happens daily in the stock market with millions of people which is why

prices go up & down
