2 Things to know before investing in a Fund
● Expense Ratio - Cost to own the fund and have it managed by a professional
money manager.
● Share Class - A Share, C Share or Institutional Shares
○ A Share - Upfront Fee to buy into fund, usually gives voting rights in company
○ C Share - More expensive to hold than A Class Share, if fund is held for more than 6-7 years.
1% fee if you sell before 1 year
○ Institutional Share - Usually bought in employer sponsored retirement account plans
