They are known as the middleman between you the buyer or seller of stock and
the stock market
They in previous years were who you would see in person to discuss your trades
Like car salesman they receive a commision for every trade and while it may seem
as they helping are only working for their best interest
They go by a few other names - Wealth Manager, Financial Advisor, Investment
Consultant…
Since online trading introduced free stock brokerages the use/need of brokers has
dramatically decreased
